Who do you think you see?
Chronology
A chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer turns to making and selling meth with a former student to secure his family’s future, celebrates fan favorite ‘Breaking Bad’ by reenacting some of Jesse’s most memorable scenes Pinkman wrote for the ninth episode. During the hiatus caused by the writers’ strike, creator Vince Gilligan, impressed with Aaron Paul’s portrayal of Jesse, as well as the fact that everyone liked Paul, decided to reinstate the character and have Jesse’s fate be handed over to another character in the end of the first season. In the opening credits, the letters of the names of the cast and crew are highlighted in green to represent chemical element symbols. However, the “Ch” in Michael Slovis’ name was highlighted in several early episodes, even though Ch is not a chemical element symbol. In later episodes, only “C” (for Carbon) is highlighted. Walter White: Who are you talking to now?
It ceases to exist without me
Do you know how much I earn per year? I mean, even if I told you, you wouldn’t believe it. Do you know what would happen if I suddenly decided to stop going to work? A company big enough to be listed on the NASDAQ goes bankrupt. Disappear. No, you clearly don’t know who you’re talking to, so let me give you a hint.
I AM the danger
I’m not in danger, Skyler. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that about me? Not! I’m the one calling! The opening credits use chemical symbols from the periodic table of elements as part of the names: bromine (Br) and barium (Ba) for the title, none for creator Vince Gilligan (unless he gets a V for vanadium), one for the cast, and team members. All episodes were repeated on an on-demand cable channel in some areas, without commercials but with additional scenes not included on AMC.
