When Lawson’s vast cattle station is left without an heir, rival factions across Australia see an opportunity to take over. The series was filmed across the Northern and South Territories of Australia in places so remote they are barely inhabited, let alone shown on screen.
I read some of the reviews here and had to give my opinion, because people can miss out on a fantastic series
Locations include the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kakadu National Park (with special permission from the traditional owners) and Tipperary Station, a real-life working cattle station that is so large it has its own airfield and school. Some people may just expect too much from these shows, but if you fancy spending a few hours watching great performances from great characters (they don’t have to be popular), plenty of storylines to keep you going, drama, violence, excitement, scenery and an escape from city life then don’t miss it.
See each territory on its own merits
Don’t watch it to compare it to other shows. It’s gripping from the start and the excitement doesn’t end until the very last scene.

As the end credits rolled, I stood there thinking, “Please get season 2 out ASAP.
